Produced from the grapes grown on Steenberg Estate in the Constantia Wine Valley.
TASTING NOTES (by Allan Mullins)
Glimmering lemon-yellow with a light green tinge. An arresting bouquet, with gorgeous
aromas of gooseberry, fig and passion fruit. There are also blackcurrant notes,
denoting the wine’s quality.
A small amount of Semillon has added succulent texture and mouth feel to the
beautifully-structured palate, as well as an enticing lemon verbena flavour. It is a
complex wine that excites on many levels, as new flavours emerge with the wine in the
glass. A wine with personality!
FOOD PAIRING.
A wine with the body to pair well with fuller dishes. Seared tuna with a sesame seed
dressing, crayfish with a lightly spiced creamy sauce, wild mushroom risotto with a
truffle sauce.
KEEPING.
Lovely now, but hold some back to enjoy its development over the next 4 to 7 years
